Asma'a (Hend Sabry) left the colorful comfort of her rural home for the city and is now struggling to raise her teenage daughter and nurse her aging father. The young Egyptian woman is careful around her neighbors and colleagues, for fear that her reputation will be sullied. She suffers from a gall-bladder problem, but no doctor is willing to operate because Asma'a has a secret: she is HIV-positive.

In a world where HIV/AIDS is still stigmatized, Asma'a survives by avoiding any situation that might make it known that she is infected.

It takes the fateful intervention of Mohsen (Maged El Kedwani), the bold host of a daring TV show, to teach Asma'a to speak out and fight back against her illness and the ignorance of society. Sabry shines in the role, which she delivers with deeply affecting grace. Her courage in portraying a marginalized character in circumstances deemed taboo by society is at once humanitarian and artful.

Co-starring are the charismatic El Kedwani and the up-and-coming Hani Adel, who plays Asma'a's husband. Writer/director Amr Salama --whose first film On a Day Like Today had its premiere at ADFF in 2008 --displays masterful cinematography and haunting imagery in this second film, revealing a matured style that is well suited to the story's delicate subject.

Based on real-life events, Asma'a tackles thorny issues that will certainly spark heated debate.

This is the movie in Arabic cinema that is the equivalent of the meeting of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in an action flick. The biggest names in male and female leads meet for this action packed movie.

Ahmed Eizz and Ahmed Sakka meet in this movie that was not given permission to film during the Mubarak regime for being too real or discussing techniques that till now has been used by the security forces in Egypt.

On the female lead, there's Hanan Turk, and Zina. Together those two females one heck of a movie as they both have taken part of movies that made millions, plus the fans have come to love those two leading ladies.

"Almaslaha" or the Station, is the next big blockbuster from Egyptian cinema, the makers of this film are calling it the biggest flick to hit Arabic cinema in decades, and with that they are hoping to rescue the troubled movie industry in Egypt at this critical juncture. I do not have a doubt that this will be a great movie, but I do have one concern, this could end up being a propaganda for the ministry of interior in Egypt--they very ministry that butchered tens or hundreds of Egyptian civilians as they tired to protect the Mubarak regime.

Movies with kids or made for kids make a lot more money than other movies, becasue the entire family goes in and buys thickets to the show.

To make an original movie fro kids is sort of hard..they always remake older stories. Hamada Helal's last role was a kickass boxer in his movie released in 2008.

This holiday season he is making a comeback with a new movie that combines humor and action in one plot.

Yes, this would be similar to the Vin Diesel Flick The Pacifier where tough guy is commissioned with protecting the little ones. Even the poster is suggesting the link...will this be a funny movie? I think it will be Hamada is a good natured actor with an incredible smile. On the plus sides, the kids really like seeing him in movies too.

There seems to be a focus on kids, but there's also few sexual innuendos in here and there. And since Hamada is a singer to begin with, there has to be music and live entertainment by the lead guy. all other females have to play a supporting role where he gets all the best lines.
